Fortunately in 2023 for the SMSDC and its members, comprised of minority owned businesses and corporations, there was a call to change the event management process that included a goal of reducing annual conference book print waste by way of utilizing a custom conference event application built by Dispatch Tree.

Since 1973, SMSDC serves over 1,000 members as a non-profit organization in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico ​spanning many industries as a key facilitator of business relationships. In past years conference organizers resorted to email and printing out physical schedules to navigate over 300 individual meetings. SMSDC guest were excited to learn about the new conference app and adapted very well once they realized the benefits. 

In 2023, SMSDC event organizers and attendees were able to checkin, download the app, login and immediately review their personalized conference schedules delivering a custom user experience. Attendees utilized the full capabilities of the Dispatch Tree event design and application which in return made for smooth conference logistics before, during and after each event.
