Overview
Dispatch Tree Marketing partnered with Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que at the World Food Championships 2025 in Indianapolis to deliver a fun and engaging fan experience through interactive gameplay and a custom-branded photo opportunity. The activation invited attendees to “Toss the Sauce” — a lighthearted competition designed to immerse guests in Famous Dave’s signature flavor and flair, while seamlessly collecting lead data and driving brand engagement.

Famous Dave’s sought a way to stand out among hundreds of food brands competing for attention during the nation’s largest culinary event. The goal was to design a guest experience that:
  • Encouraged playful participation and memorable brand interaction
  • Collected quality leads through an integrated digital opt-in
  • Provided measurable results and media-ready moments
  • Could be easily set up and adjusted for weather or location changes

What We Delivered

Dispatch Tree delivered an end-to-end experiential activation including:
  • “Toss the Sauce” Game: A branded toss challenge encouraging friendly competition with giveaways and leaderboard-style engagement.
  • Branded Photo Booth Experience: Guests captured fun, sharable moments and received digital takeaways via SMS and email.
  • Data Capture + Analytics: Integrated lead form and consent-based opt-in system to collect usable marketing data for post-event outreach.
  • ​Onsite Staffing & Prize Management: Dispatch Tree managed setup, teardown, guest interaction, and 100% distribution of branded giveaways.

Impact
The “Toss the Sauce” activation proved that even a simple, well-branded game can create a powerful connection between guests and the brand. Over 350 total participants engaged in social media sharing generating buzz, smiles, and meaningful brand data. By integrating WiFi, gamification and photo-driven experience, Dispatch Tree successfully turned casual attendees into brand advocates standing in line happily waiting their turn to share an authentic moment with Famous Dave's.
